97 registry tips n tricks part1

Maybe for my friends ya really stale tips .. tp papa was me share again ... The following tips n tricks:
(1). Renaming the Recycle Bin------------------------------HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT \ CLSID \ {645FF040-5081-101B-9F08-00AA002F954E}Double click on the option (Default value) and give a new name as desired in Value Data.


(2). Raising Rename the Recycle Bin---------------------------------------HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT \ CLSID \ {645FF040-5081-101B-9F08-00AA002F954E} \ ShellFolderDouble click on Attributes> Edit Binary Value. In the Value Data, change that number to 0000 50 01 00 20.


(3). Adding Shortcut Content Menu In Recycle Bin-----------------------------------------------HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT \ CLSID \ {645FF040-5081-101B-9F08-00AA002F954E} \ ShellFolderDouble click Attributes and change the number in the Value Data with the following numbers:0000 50 01 00 20> Rename0000 60 01 00 20> Delete0000 70 01 00 20> Rename & Delete0000 41 01 00 20> Copy0000 42 01 00 20> Cut0000 43 01 00 20> Copy & Cut0000 44 01 00 20> Paste0000 45 01 00 20> Copy & Paste0000 46 01 00 20> Cut & Paste0000 47 01 00 20> Cut, Copy & Paste


(4). Adding Shortcut Content Menu In Recycle Bin With Menu Options-------------------------------------------------- --------------------HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT \ CLSID \ {645FF040-5081-101B-9F08-00AA002F954E} \ ShellClick the Edit menu> New> Key and name it as desired (example: Go To Windows Explorer). Under the new key, press the Edit menu> New> Key and create a new key named Command. Double-click option (Default), and in the Value Data, enter the path to the Windows Explorer (C: \ WINDOWS \ Explorer.exe).


(5). Restoring Lost Documents Folder In My Computer-------------------------------------------------- --------------HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ Software \ Microsoft \ Windows \ CurrentVersion \ Explorer \ DocFolderPathsSelect Edit menu> New> String Value and name it according to the username that is used in Windows (eg: y3ppy) Double click on the value and enter the path where you are located Documents (eg D: \ Documents)


(6). Rid of Stored Files From My Computer----------------------------------------------HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ Software \ Microsoft \ Windows \ CurrentVersion \ Explorer \ MyComputer \ NameSpace \ DelegateFoldersDelete subkey {59031a47-3f72-44a7-89c5-5595fe6b30ee}


(7). Hiding My Recent Documents--------------------------------------HKEY_CURRENT_USER \ Software \ Microsoft \ Windows \ CurrentVersion \ Policies \ ExplorerClick the Edit menu> New> DWORD Value and name NoRecentDocsMenu. Then double click on DWORD Value and give value 1 to enable it.


(8). Restoring Search Function Into Old Display-------------------------------------------------- -------HKEY_CURRENT_USER \ Software \ Microsoft \ Windows \ CurrentVersion \ Explorer \ CabinetStateSelect Edit menu> New> String Value and name UseSearchAsst. UseSearchAsst double click and insert value 1 in Value Data.


(9). Hiding Menu Find----------------------------HKEY_CURRENT_USER \ Software \ Microsoft \ Windows \ CurrentVersion \ Policies \ ExplorerClick the Edit menu> New> DWORD Value and name NoFind. Then double click on DWORD Value and give value 1 to enable it. Restart the computer.


(10). Hiding Menu Run (1)--------------------------------HKEY_CURRENT_USER \ Software \ Microsoft \ Windows \ CurrentVersion \ Policies \ ExplorerCreate a new DWORD Value and give name NoRun. Double click and enter the number 1 as the Value Data.


(11). Hiding Menu Run (2)--------------------------------HKEY_CURRENT_USER \ Software \ Microsoft \ Windows \ CurrentVersion \ Explorer \ AdvancedFind the value named Start_ShowRun, double click and enter the number 0 in the Value Data.


(12). Hiding Log Off---------------------------HKEY_CURRENT_USER \ Software \ Microsoft \ Windows \ CurrentVersion \ Policies \ ExplorerClick the Edit menu> New> Binary Value and name NoLogOff.
Double click on NoLogOff and enter the numbers 01 00 00 00 in the Value Data.


(13). Hiding Menu Turn Off Computer------------------------------------------HKEY_CURRENT_USER \ Software \ Microsoft \ Windows \ CurrentVersion \ Policies \ ExplorerClick the Edit menu> New> DWORD Value and name NoClose. Double click NoClose and give value 1 in Value Data.


(14). ClearType In Logon Screen--------------------------------HKEY_USERS \. DEFAULT \ Control Panel \ DesktopFontSmoothingType double click and enter the number 2 in the Value Data.


(15). Creating Different Views On Window Logon------------------------------------------------HKEY_USERS \. DEFAULT \ Software \ Microsoft \ Windows \ CurrentVersion \ themeManagerDouble click and enter ColorName Metallic text in Value Data.


(16). Showing Administrator in Welcome Screen------------------------------------------------HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SOFTWARE \ Microsoft \ Windows NT \ CurrentVersion \ Winlogon \ SpecialAccounts \ UserListCreate a new DWORD Value and give name of the Administrator.Double click on Administrator and insert value 1 in Value Data


(17). Automated Login-------------------HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ Software \ Microsoft \ Windows NT \ CurrentVersion \ WinlogonDouble click and enter the account username AltDefaultUserName selected. AutoAdminLogon double click and insert value 1 in Value Data. Create a new DWORD Value and give name DefaultPassword. DefaultPassword double click and enter the account password chosen in Value Data.


(18). Hiding Icon Printers and Faxes from the Start Menu-------------------------------------------------- ---------HKEY_CURRENT_USER \ Software \ Microsoft \ Windows \ CurrentVersion \ Explorer \ AdvancedFind the value named Start_ShowPrinters and give value 0 in Value Data.


(19). Hiding the Control Panel from the Start Menu-------------------------------------------------HKEY_CURRENT_USER \ Software \ Microsoft \ Windows \ CurrentVersion \ Explorer \ AdvancedFind the value named Start_ShowControlPa nel and double-click on the section. Enter the number 0 in Value Data.


(20). Hiding Menu My Pictures from the Start Menu-------------------------------------------------- -HKEY_CURRENT_USER \ Software \ Microsoft \ Windows \ CurrentVersion \ Explorer \ AdvancedDouble click on Start_ShowMyPics and enter the number 0 in the Value Data.
